Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding seems to have left all of us in awe. The adorable couple exchanged wedding vows in a dreamy destination wedding in Rajasthan on the 9th of December. The lovebirds locked in a sacred union in the presence of family members and close friends. As Vicky and Katrina shared heartfelt moments from their memorable day, celebrities and fans flooded their posts with love. Held at Six Senses Fort, Barwara in a three day affair, the couple goals have never been more powerful. Here we are, decoding her dreamy bridal look.

The Ensemble:

Katrina Kaif looked dreamy in a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. In homage to the groom’s Punjabi roots, her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold.

Traditional Matha Patti And Nath
Katrina took the traditional route as she wore an enchanting dual matha patti on her head along with a nath. Both of these elements are considered to be a part of Hindi customs. A nath is worn by the brides in order to celebrate Devi Parvati, the Hindu goddess of marriage.

Chooda
Katrina was also wearing the traditional red ‘chooda’. We just loved how she chose a simple one. Chooda holds great value during Hindu weddings, especially Punjabi weddings as it symbolises the blessing of the elders and is known to carry good luck to the newly wed couple. Fertility and prosperity are two expressions that are associated with a good. This is why it holds great importance in the Hindu culture.

Kaleeras
Katrina chose a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in a handwoven Matka silk which featured fine tilla work and embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. But can you imagine what else left us swooning about her wedding look? Her accessories. Katrina Kaif wore traditional handcrafted choodaas and kaleeras by Raabta by Rahul for her wedding.

The soft blend of intricacies to fulfil the customs of the wedding were carefully designed and sketched by Rahul Luthra and put to life by his shared karigars. On his inspiration behind the kaleeras, Rahul says, “As always I was inspired by nature, the peepal leaf motifs in gold were incorporated to impart the taste of folklore. Delicate tassels were added in maroon to light the ornament and to endow the bride with cheerful matrimony.

The Blue Saphire Ring
How could we miss out on the blue stone on Katrina’s finger? We are just in love with this blue sapphire ring on her finger. The ring is in platinum with a cushion-cut tanzanite and a double row of round radiant diamonds. The ring costs close to ₹7.5 lakhs.

We are just in adoration with all the looks of Katrina Kaif from her wedding festivities. We wish the couple a lifetime of togetherness and lots of joy and delight.
