Multigrain Dosa

Dosa is a rice pancake and is a typical part of the South Indian breakfast. Here goes the recipe of going to multigrain dosa.

Ingredients :

To soak :

  • Rice – 1 cup
  • Green gram – 1/4 cup
  • Urad dal – 1/4 cup
  • Moong dal – 1/4 cup
  • Chana dal – 1/4 cup

Others :

  • 2 green chilies
  • Small piece of ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves

Step by step process :

  • Soak the ingredients mentioned under To Soak with plenty of water for 6 hours.
  • Remove the water and transfer into a blender/mixer.
  • Add the green chilies, ginger and garlic cloves.
  • Blend nicely till air bubbles form. Keep adding little water to get a medium consistency batter (should not be too thick or watery).
  • This Dosa does not require fermentation.
  • Heat the tawa/pan and pour a ladleful of dosa.
  • Spread out the dosa , add oil or ghee as per choice and cover it.
  • Allow it to cook for half a minute, the dosa changes its color to golden.
  • Flip the dosa on the other side and cook.
  • Remove the dosa and enjoy it with chutney.
