Smt. Nandini Mishra is a dynamic, energetic self-motivated selfless woman and a humble social worker. She was born and brought up in Lucknow and studied in Lamartinere Girls school Lucknow.

Her father was a senior IAS officer, grandfather a vice-chancellor, and father in law a great scholar and professor. Her husband was a reputed Govt. official later he also joined in this cause.

She is a Post Graduate in Economics from Allahabad University and has a degree in CS. She got several offers from different institutions and business groups for different posts but she kept all this aside and continued her services towards the poor & needy.

She decided to adopt a district like Mirzapur which is extremely backward, Naxal, and poverty prone, where natural calamities effect, no infrastructure was at that time. The district Mirzapur is surrounded by jungles, mountains, and river Ganges from all sides.

Mirzapur where Nandini did not find any relatives, friends except hurdles troubles, depression,  and disturbing elements, etc. she started working for the rural sisters and did not lose her patience and started giving her services with motivation, compassion, and commitment.

After working hard for 20 years amongst the poorest of poor women in Mirzapur today the scene has changed overall and now it has become the hub of Women Self Help Groups which is the main backbone of her work. Rural ladies are now out from the clutches of money lenders, women are self-reliant, self-confident and mostly running their own little business units, they were educated less and are now graduated and mostly doing jobs and going to offices.

Besides social work, she is involved in promoting Indian culture and heritage. A yearlong cleaning of daily Ganga Ghat and performing of Jan Arati has been initiated by her in involving the district administration under the ages of Vindhya Heritage Foundation. The veteran Indian classical dancer and Navratan of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for Swachhata Mission, MP Rajya Sabha Smt. Sonal Mansingh is highly impressed by her work and renders her guidance from time to time as a mentor and guardian.

Every Third year a Mega event “Mahashakti Sammelan” Under the leadership of Mrs. Nandini Mishra is organised. In this event, the rural women and their adolescent daughters from the whole of the eastern U.P participated. This Programme is organised by the rural ladies themselves for their respective rights. Around twenty thousand rural women and their adolescent daughters participate and make the program a grand success. The event is graced by several veteran women rights Social activists, Academicians, Journalists, and Local M.L.As and M.P. Some eminent women are conferred with Mahashakti and Shakti Bhushan Samman for their outstanding works in the particular area on this occasion.
