I come from the city of steels- Jamshedpur. I am studying at IIM Ranchi. Talking about my journey of start-up, it began a long time ago. Ever since I was diagnosed with a kidney problem, regular hospitals visits were very normal. During these visits, I observed many things. I observed that senior citizens are facing a lot of difficulties.
Talking about the current health scenario of our country gives me a sense of acknowledgment of lack of empathy towards each other. Everyone is busy and hardly gets time for themselves. It makes the elderly patients quite challenging to manage their monthly or weekly doctor’s visits. Then the idea came. I want to start a pick-up and drop-off service for such elderly patients, who can’t go on their own and their families are too busy. These services will not only provide them with a pick-up and drop-off facility but will also give them a personal assistant for that particular visit, who will understand all the treatment, prescriptions, will purchase the medicines, will do the lab tests, etc. These servicemen will take their proper care until they drop you off at your home. And we will have your history recorded, so if you wish to continue with the same person next time, we can provide you with the same person. We will take care of all the safety measures, we will also track the ride and how long is it taking.
As this idea is still in its initial stage, we are working very hard to make this work. We are trying to build an app, have talked to patents lawers. We have visited many cities also to identify all the problems. We are doing market research and surveys. We have talked to many elderly patients to get the basic idea. After building the app and starting the services, I would also like to provide this facility to PWD patients also as I am one of them, it is my dream to work for them.
