Residents who live on rent usually have limited options to renovate the living space according to Vastu Shastra. But it does not mean that they can sacrifice the idea of bringing in positive energy and harmony into their home. If you pick the right Vedic Vastu expert, they will be able to help you improve the energy flow using no-renovative steps to bring about desired change in the house.

Renters find themselves in problem as they cannot make structural changes as these would require permission from the owner and incurring additional cost. Thankfully, Vastu principles can still be applied creatively, without renovation.

Before we begin to give you tips on improving Vastu without renovation, remember that Vastu correction will have 50 percent positive impact on the renter and 50 percent on the owner. So any change you make will have a good after effect on the owners as well.

Here’s how you can tap into ancient wisdom and uplift your living environment effortlessly.

Rent your home that is Vastu compliant: While exploring properties it is best to have basic Vastu knowledge so that you can rent the right home. It is best to either speak to Vastu Consultant or take an expert along so that you make a wise decision.

Furniture orientation is pivotal for inflow of positive energy in the house: When placing the furniture of the house make sure the sofa and chairs are placed in the right direction. The sofa or chair shall be placed in the direction where you face either north, east or north east. This will make sure the family is facing the right direction while eating or spending time together in the living room. Avoid facing south or south west while using a sofa or chair. This disrupts the energy flow and can have a negative impact.

Bed’s headrest/headboard should be placed in the right direction: This is one of the most important furniture placement tips. Make sure the headrest is not facing north as it is not an auspicious direction to place this set of furniture.

Tips to improve energy flow:

  • Place English Ivy plants in all the bathrooms in case they are not as per Vastu Shastra guidelines. This improves flow of energy for the renters.
  • If the entrance is in the wrong direction then it is advised to make a Swastika of 6 inch on both sides of the to correct Vastu dosh. The same can be done for kitchen in case it is not in the right corner as per Vedic Vastu
  • If windows are in the South or South West then make sure to cover them with thick curtains during the afternoons.
