Excerpt- Hugs are not just a way to express love but also they bring with themselves a good number of health benefits.

If you prefer hugging, you might want to evaluate its healing potential.  We all know how soothing hugs can be at difficult times, so why just restrict them to a single day? We’ve got a few reasons why you should start doing so right now and daily.

Lowers Heart Rate And Blood Pressure

The University of North Carolina performed research with 59 women and discovered some fascinating findings. Some ladies closed each session with a 20-second embrace after a brief sequence of inquiries and general chit-chat about their boyfriend. During difficult testing periods, women who received a hug from their spouses had lower blood pressure and pulse rates. The researchers believe that oxytocin (as previously indicated) is to reason for their improved heart health.

Reduces Stress

Hugging and other forms of interpersonal contact can increase the hormone oxytocin while also influencing our endogenous opioid system.  In essence, simply by embracing, our brains may release calming hormones that make us feel safer and less endangered throughout the day. As a result, when something unpleasant occurs, we don’t have the same intense fight-or-flight reaction.

Boosts Immunity

When you’re anxious, it’s much simpler to get sick. That’s because when we’re stressed, our immune system goes haywire, which makes us more susceptible to infections. According to one study, persons who were hugged and felt socially supported had fewer severe symptoms of illness.

This Hug-Day makes it a habit to embrace your partner daily. This will be beneficial for both of you and keep your relationship full of love and life.
