Despite seeing his family life and the deep bond he shares with his wife, she still surrenders to her emotions. “At first, I found it really hard to accept a character like Savi,” Chaitali admits. “Personally, I suffer from what people call the ‘good girl syndrome.’ Playing a woman who follows her heart despite moral dilemmas was socially challenging for me.”
However, stepping into Savi’s shoes proved to be a transformational experience. “This role made me realize that I could play such characters and still own my space as an actor. It allowed me to be flamboyant, confident, and expressive in ways I had never explored before.”
One of the biggest revelations during this journey was embracing her own unique qualities. “I’ve always been conscious of my voice, but my co-actor encouraged me to use it naturally. Surprisingly, I started receiving so many compliments about how soothing and impactful it was.”
Savi also pushed Chaitali to refine her craft. “The body language, the way I spoke, the way I carried myself—every little detail mattered. There was a fine line between making the character look sensual and making her look cheap. A slight tilt in the wrong direction, and the entire perception could change.”
