Women are no longer waiting for the “right time” to pursue their ambitions; they are creating it.  Balancing careers, families, and personal aspirations, they are choosing growth, learning and  leadership at every stage of life, carving their own paths to success. In doing so, they are not just  growing professionally; they are reshaping long-held narratives about what women can achieve and  when.

Yet, while access to education has expanded significantly, the journey from qualification to sustained  workforce participation remains uneven. India’s female labour force participation rate stands at  around 31.7%, compared to the global average of nearly 50%, underscoring the need for enabling  pathways that support continuity and career progression. Many women move in and out of  professional journeys due to evolving life priorities, making flexible, accessible education critical to  long-term empowerment. This is where Amity University Online plays a transformative role, leveraging technology-enabled, supportive learning ecosystems to help women upskill, restart, pivot  and accelerate their aspirations. By doing so, it challenges traditional perceptions around women’s  roles and achievements, demonstrating how learning can turn limitations into possibilities, empower  women to rewrite their own stories, and shape a more equitable future for themselves and society.

Amity University Online is witnessing a powerful transformation. Amity University Online, more than  42,000 women learners are actively shaping their careers and life journeys, with over 50% above the  age of 30. These women are returning to education, upskilling in technology and AI-driven programs,  and building careers on their own terms. From the cockpit to the classroom, from the stage to the  startup world, their journeys reflect resilience, reinvention, and leadership.

At Amity University Online, women are not pausing their dreams; they are accelerating them.  Here are four remarkable women who proved that ambition has no limits and choices need not  be sacrifices.

From Classroom to the Cockpit: Anusha Jain’s Flight to Success

For Anusha Jain, education was never separate from ambition; it was the runway.

While pursuing her BBA and later MBA through Amity University Online, she was simultaneously  completing her rigorous aviation training. Balancing ground school, flying hours, exams, and  assignments demanded precision and discipline. Scoring distinctions across most academic  terms, Anusha proved to herself that women do not have to choose between dreams. Today, since  August 2024, she is a Commercial Pilot with IndiGo, living the dream she worked tirelessly for.

“The biggest challenge was managing time between aviation training and academics,” she shares.  “Flying demands intense focus, and so does higher education. There were days when I would move  straight from flight briefing to submitting assignments. What helped me to achieve my dream was  flexibility without compromise. “Amity Online gave me the structure and resilience to manage both  worlds. The curriculum strengthened my understanding of business, leadership, and decision making skills, which are invaluable in aviation.”

“From classrooms to cockpits, my journey is proof that the sky is not the limit, it’s just the  beginning.”

Passion Without Pause- Sujata Iyer’s Journey of Balance and Belief

For Sujata Iyer, education was not an interruption — it was reinforcement.

A mother, voice actor, singer, early childhood educator, and Founder & Chief Facilitator at  www.mommyandmewithsu.com. Sujata Iyer wears many hats with grace.

Completing her master’s in mass communication while building her career required what she  calls “a little hustle.” But the ecosystem at Amity University Online made it possible.

“The professors supported me at every step at Amity University Online. Whenever I had doubts, I  would reach out via email and receive clarity. Student support ensured timely books and reminders  that helped me plan better,” she says. Interactive live classes, peer discussions, recorded sessions,  and Last-Minute Revision (LMR) modules allowed me to study between professional commitments.  “Sometimes I missed live sessions due to work, but I could access recordings and revise between  assignments and before exams. That flexibility empowered me to pursue my passion without  compromise.”

Reclaiming a Dream: Kabuki Khanna’s Story of Art and Academia

For Kabuki, education was restoration, a blessing that reaffirmed belief.

As a singer-songwriter, performer, actor, and India’s first Opera artist to pioneer “Indian Opera,”  Kabuki Khanna has performed at prestigious platforms, including Jashn-e-Rekhta, and was a silver  medalist on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2023. As a voice pedagogist at the National School of Drama and  former voice coach at the Delhi School of Music for nearly 11 years, she now runs the Indian Opera  School of Music, nurturing aspiring artists in this blended art form. Yet one dream had remained  incomplete: her BA in English Honours.

“Completing my degree healed a lingering regret,” she reflects. “It reminded me that it’s never too  late to pursue what truly matters. Amity University Online is not just another university to me —it is  the place that helped me reclaim a lost dream, and joining Amity has been one of the best  decisions of my life and a true blessing.” These stories represent more than individual success; they reflect a generational shift.

From a Quiet Whisper to the Shark Tank

For Almas Rizvi- For Almas Rizvi, education was the bridge between who she was expected to  be and who she was destined to become

Almas Rizvi’s life changed overnight. She entered married life, stepping away from her education  and into household responsibilities. A shy and introverted young woman who rarely questioned  decisions, she quietly adapted to her new world of family and motherhood.

But somewhere within, her dreams waited. Years later, encouraged by her father, Almas found the  courage to begin again. She resumed her education, completing her graduation and MBA while  managing her home and raising her child. Education did more than give her a degree; it restored her  confidence and voice. Her journey took a defining turn with Amity University Online. The flexibility of  its online programs allowed her to be a mother and a student simultaneously. With the guidance of  supportive faculty and mentors, she rebuilt her confidence and rediscovered her ambition. She  credits Amity University Online for giving her the academic foundation and belief system that helped  her step into entrepreneurship with conviction.

That renewed belief led her to co-build Sampark, a tech solution designed to help people contact  vehicle owners without revealing personal phone numbers. What began as experimentation and  sleepless nights turned into 200 orders a day and eventually a pitch on national television at Shark  Tank India.

“Restarting my education was the turning point of my life. I am deeply grateful to Amity University  Online for giving me the flexibility and encouragement I needed to grow without compromising my family responsibilities. Education gave me my confidence back, entrepreneurship gave me my  identity, and Amity University Online gave me the courage to dream bigger. My journey proves that it’s  never too late for a woman to reclaim her voice and build her own success story.”

At Amity University Online, women are stepping back into classrooms, entering boardrooms, following dreams, launching ventures, mastering technology, and redefining leadership on their own  terms. They are proving that ambition does not expire, passion does not pause, and dreams do not  have deadlines.

This Women’s Day, we celebrate not just achievement — but courage. Because when women are  given access, flexibility, and belief, they don’t just earn degrees, they play a crucial role in making  India and the Viksit Bharat Vision.
