Mythri Kumar is the Co-Founder and CEO of TimbuckDo Innovations Pvt Ltd, a pioneering student gig platform redefining how India’s college students earn, learn and grow. A TEDx speaker and serial entrepreneur, Mythri is building one of India’s most trusted student ecosystems focused on financial independence, skill development and early career exposure.
A journalism graduate from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru, she began her career in media as a television presenter. However, she soon realized her passion lay not in narrating stories but in building them. Her entrepreneurial journey is deeply personal. As a student balancing academics with part-time work, she experienced firsthand the financial pressures and lack of structured industry exposure faced by young people in India. Determined to bridge this gap, she founded TimbuckDo in 2022 to help students transition seamlessly from campus to careers while gaining confidence, income and practical skills along the way.
Under her leadership, TimbuckDo has evolved into a full-fledged student ecosystem offering verified part-time gigs, curated deals on lifestyle and travel, AI-enabled skill-building tools and community-driven engagement programs. One of the company’s flagship initiatives, the Salesmanship Campus Ambassador Program, operates across 300 plus colleges in Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities, empowering students to develop leadership and sales capabilities while acting as bridges between campuses and industry.
To date, TimbuckDo has raised over ₹7.5 crore from leading global and Indian investors including Morton Meyerson, Nandkishore Andy Kalambi, Anupam Mittal, Arjun Vaidya, Rukam Capital, Shaili Chopra, Turbostart, Sandesh Sharda and Mudit Kumar, strengthening its position as a category-defining platform in the student ecosystem.
In 2025, Mythri led TimbuckDo as showrunners on Ideabaaz Season 1 on Z TV and Z5, where the company secured an all-Titan deal and successfully raised funds, bringing national recognition to the platform and accelerating its growth trajectory.
Mythri strongly believes that the biggest gap in India’s student ecosystem lies in the disconnect between traditional education and the demands of a modern, AI-driven workplace. While students graduate with degrees, many lack hands-on exposure and executable skills required to thrive. Through TimbuckDo, she is bridging this divide by preparing students early, from the age of 18, with structured learning opportunities and real-world learning. Her vision aligns with the future of work shaped by AI, experiential learning and flexible gig-driven cultures, areas where TimbuckDo is uniquely positioned to lead.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Mythri is passionate about spirituality, education and children’s health. She believes in leading with balance and purpose, finding grounding in temple visits, spiritual texts and reflective time, while also enjoying light-hearted cinema. Influenced by her family’s legacy in philanthropy and education, she remains deeply committed to expanding access to safe, transparent and empowering opportunities for young people, especially those from underserved communities.
Her personal experiences of financial struggle and workplace exploitation during college continue to fuel her mission. Through TimbuckDo, she is building systems that ensure the next generation of students does not just dream, but is equipped to act with confidence, dignity and purpose.
