On World Food Safety Day, as the Founder of Delhi’s leading catering company, The Food Affairs, I, Sarita Bazaz, would like to take this opportunity to shed light on the need to emphasize healthy eating. With hectic schedules and the abundance of processed food options readily available, many individuals struggle to prioritize healthy eating in their daily lives.

While the importance of healthy food is undeniable, there is also a growing possibility to easily avail of these foods and prioritize one’s nutritional intake. Between all this, it is also important to slow down and savour each bite we consume.

By paying attention to the flavours, textures, and sensations of the food we consume, one can better recognize their body’s hunger and fullness cues, preventing overeating and promoting a healthier relationship with food. Today where snacking is more a habit than a craving, it’s imperative to replace processed snacks of high sugar and unhealthy fats with a pack of fresh fruits, raw nuts, or homemade energy bars to satisfy cravings and keep you energized throughout the day.

Incorporating healthy eating habits into your daily routine is an investment in your long-term well-being. Choosing the right foods, making healthy swaps for the unhealthy, and staying hydrated can lead to significant improvements in your overall health and quality of life. So this World Food Day, embark on a journey towards a healthier and happier you!
