Gender discrimination brings cultural, social, economic, and educational differences in the nation that pushes the country backwards. Enabling women to exercise their right to equality, as stated in the Constitution of India, stands as the most potent approach to eradicating such vices. By placing a strong emphasis on gender equality, women’s empowerment has been advanced throughout India. It should be propagated and disseminated in every family since childhood to achieve the goal of women’s empowerment. Women must be strong physically, mentally, and socially.

Today, the cause of early marriage is insecurity, illiteracy, and poverty in the backward areas. The government is undertaking numerous initiatives to empower women and combat issues like abuse, gender discrimination, social exclusion, and violence against them.

Recognizing the significance of addressing this issue, the government has undertaken a wide range of initiatives to empower women and create a society that values gender equality. By implementing proactive measures, the government aims to combat the pervasive issues of abuse, gender discrimination, social exclusion, and violence that women frequently encounter.

These initiatives encompass various aspects, including educational programs that prioritize girls’ access to quality education, awareness campaigns to promote gender equality and women’s rights, economic empowerment initiatives to alleviate poverty, and legal reforms to provide better protection against abuse and violence. Moreover, efforts are being made to enhance the overall security and welfare of women in backward areas, fostering an environment where they can thrive and exercise their fundamental rights.

Empowering women and enhancing their quality of life can be achieved by granting them their rightful rights. In Indian mythology, women are revered as goddesses and are accorded a significant position. By acknowledging women’s inherent worth, capabilities, and contributions, society can work towards dismantling the barriers that prevent them from exercising their rights and realizing their full potential through collective effort that can lead fulfilling lives, make informed choices, and become the architects of their own success, contributing to a more harmonious and prosperous society for all.

To bring true women empowerment in Indian society, one has to understand and remove the cause of bad practices against women is the patriarchal and male-dominated system. It is an imperative challenge outdated to attitudes toward women and implements necessary amendments to constitutional and legal frameworks.
