Embarking on a journey from a traditional housewife to a high-powered executive, business owner, Oscar-qualified producers and now leading a Hollywood film fund, my path has been anything but conventional. Each pivot has been a testament to resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to empowering women in technology.
Background
My story began in India, where, after a brief one-hour meeting, I entered into an arranged marriage. Armed with just $100 and a heart full of dreams, I relocated to the United States. The turning point came when I encountered Microsoft’s vision to empower a billion people—a mission that resonated deeply with me and ignited my passion for technology and innovation. Diving headfirst into the tech industry, I dedicated myself to mastering technical skills and reverse engineering innovation. This journey led me to co-create ground-breaking Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, enabling businesses to scale and thrive. The culmination of these experiences was the founding of Women in Cloud, an initiative that has successfully unlocked $500 million in democratizing economic access for women professionals and entrepreneurs in the AI econom
Challenges
The journey was fraught with challenges, particularly the pervasive lack of equity—financial, leadership, and relational—that many women, including myself, encountered in the tech sector. This disparity often resulted in limited access to crucial conversations and opportunities, leading to moments of self-doubt and questioning of one’s capabilities.

Inspiring Stories
By deconstructing and understanding the intricacies of technological innovation, I empowered women to harness these insights, leading to the creation of Women in Cloud. This initiative is on a trajectory to generate a billion-dollar economic access impact, showcasing the power of collective action and shared knowledge.
Dealing with Challenges
Transitioning from an arranged marriage to becoming a global leader in technology, my journey underscores the importance of resilience and bold vision. By embracing challenges and focusing on empowering others, I have unlocked global potential for women in tech, demonstrating that one’s beginnings do not define their destiny.
