Yoga is a spiritual, mental, and physical practice that originated in ancient India, it encompasses a variety of techniques that includes breath control, physical postures, meditation, and many more. Yoga gives a connection between mind, body, and soul. It promotes strength and relieves stress, flexibility, balance, and coordination in life.

Yoga can be beneficial for improving posture and reducing stress. It can help to cope with diseases and here are some yoga poses that can help you achieve those goals:

Mountain Pose (Tadasana): Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, shoulders relaxed, and arms by your sides. Focus on grounding your feet on the floor and lengthening your spine. This pose helps align the body and promotes good posture.

Cat-Cow Pose (Marjaryasana-Bitilasana): Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Inhale, arch your back and lift your head and tailbone (cow pose). Exhale, round your back, tuck your chin to your chest and tuck your tailbone (cat pose). This flowing movement helps release tension in the spine and improves posture.

Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana): Lie on your belly with your hands placed under your shoulders. Inhale and press through your hands to lift your chest off the floor, keeping your pelvis and legs grounded. Gently lengthen your neck and look forward. The cobra pose strengthens the back muscles, opens the chest, and improves posture.

Remember to listen to your body and modify or skip poses that cause discomfort or pain. Learn from a qualified yoga instructor, especially if you’re new to yoga or have any specific concerns. Yoga also boosts your energy and gives you motivation for the day.
