I live in Delhi, one of the most polluted cities in the world. The pollution level hit a Hazardous level on the AQI around Diwali. I had a lot of respiratory issues as a result of this, so I tried all the air purifiers that were on the market but none of them worked, and as a result, my situation worsened. I was finally accepted into a hospital.
I’m an electrical and electronics engineering student, and during my engineering time, I’ve created a number of innovative projects for which I’ve also won a lot of contests. Therefore, the day I was let go, the engineer in me made the decision to create something that could actually bring about a difference.
After one year of research, I finally came up with a design for an air purifier that purifies air by removing harmful particles as well as gases and chemicals. We have designed an innovative air purifier that provides both gaseous and particle purification. It has three levels of purification: root purification, plant purification, and filter purification, which includes primary filtration, HEPA filtration, and activated carbon filtration. It can operate in two modes, based on the user’s need. We have successfully crossed the prototyping stage and early traction along with the market research and now looking forward to the POC stage by manufacturing 250 single units of Air Buddi and customizing in at least 10 apartments in the local market as soon as we complete our POC we will be on Refinement stage where we’ll be updating Air Budii with customer negative feedback and hence will try to cover local cities.

2. We were selected in the top 5 handpicked startups for AIM iLeap –Fighting with air pollution program across India.
3. We were a part of Startup India Innovation Week and set up our stall there.
4. We are associated with IAAPC (Indian Association of air pollution control board)
5. We are also closely working together with CPCB (Central pollution control board ) to bring a massive change in Air Quality.
6. We were also among the finalist of Chunnauti 2.0 and selected by STPI Medtech Coe
7. Associated with Brinc and B entrepreneur organization from Bahrain and represented air buddi internationally on the show Preparing for Apocalypse.
8. Recently won the Third Prize in the Startup Showcase cash prize competition at Lucknow organised by Womenshine, a brand of Radiance Corp Solutions and Startin UP.
