Karan Johar, the filmmaker who revealed earlier this week that a new season of the celebrity chat program Koffee with Karan is on the way, has begun filming for the show. Karan posted ‘And so it begins…’ in an Instagram story on Saturday, holding the show’s iconic coffee mug.
It is unknown who will appear on Karan’s show, but rumors indicate that the first episode is now being shot with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, both of whom will soon be featured in Karan’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Karan startled his followers earlier this week when he posted a statement on social media announcing the end of Koffee with Karan. However, he immediately released a note stating that the show will no longer be aired on television and will only be available on Disney+ Hotstar.
“Koffee with Karan will not be returning…on TV!” he wrote in a message. Because every brilliant story requires a twist, I’m thrilled to announce that Season 7 of Koffee With Karan will be available exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar!”
It has been reported that Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and other Bollywood celebs will appear on Karan’s show for the first time.
Koffee with Karan premiered on Star World in 2004. The show’s sixth season concluded in 2019.
